Click Draw Room in the toolbar to trace any shape — hold Shift for 45° snap, double-click to close. Everything else about the envelope lives under the Architecture icon on the right rail: Wall Height, Wall Color, Show Grid, floor theme, and Import Plan (PDF/PNG/JPG, with opacity and rotation, calibrated by clicking two points on a known dimension).

Click Quick Layout, enter a guest count, optionally pick a stage preset. Suggest ranks every table type by fit and density (Very tight → Comfortable → Very spacious). Pick staggered or grid, set spacing, and Build Layout places everything respecting the drawn room shape.

Tables icon: + Add Table (21 presets — rounds, folding rectangles, wide rectangles, highboys), No chairs checkbox for buffets/AV, snap spacing, and Guest Names — Visible to hide chips for a clean technical drawing. Chairs icon: pick a chair preset (Stacking, Folding, Chiavari, Theater, Bar Stool). Click any table to rename, change linen name / color, chair type / color, rotate, swap preset, and Lock it so it can't be dragged by accident.

In the Architecture panel: Square / Round Columns, Single / Double Doors, and Windows. Click a wall first (it highlights rose), then add a door or window — it lands on that wall aligned to it. Drag a door to slide it along its wall; a real opening is cut through the wall with a lintel overhead. Doors have an Open / Closed toggle; windows have a Lites (C × R) grid for muntins + mullion thickness. Sill height is configurable for every window.

Stages icon: stage presets (4×8, 8×8, 4×16, 8×16, 8×24) with stairs on any combination of Front / Back / Left / Right, plus Podiums and Audience Seating (theater rows with aisles). Screens icon: LCD (32″–85″), Projection, LED — each with an Upload Image option (PNG/JPG, scale-to-fit, up to 5 MB). Pipe & Drape icon: + add section or Draw Line for any length; fabric name, color, and height.

Import a CSV (First, Last, Group, Meal, VIP). Drag names from the sidebar onto chairs. Drag a seated guest onto another seat to swap. Open the + Add Guests panel in the sidebar for single or bulk paste entry. Refresh Guests takes an updated CSV and only applies the delta — already-seated guests stay exactly where they are.

Select anything → a gizmo appears. Keys: M = Move, R = Rotate, O = Orbit (camera). Translation snaps to 1 foot, rotation to 5°, and a live readout shows how far you've moved. Annotations icon: arrows, stars, scale figures, text labels, doors/stairs symbols. Add Dimension makes a drafting-style dimension between two clicks (ortho by default; hold Shift for free angle). Set a custom label on any dimension (e.g. 5') to round it. Toggle Show all dimensions on/off.

Bottom-right pill toggles PLAN (top-down), ISO (locked 3D angle), and 3D (free orbit). Middle-click or O to orbit; right-click to pan; scroll to zoom. In 3D the walls you're looking through fade so you can see into the room.

PDF Shots icon (camera on the rail): frame the view you want, toggle overlays (Labels / Dims / Grid), then click + Capture current view. Each shot becomes a PDF page in the order you captured them. Rename or delete shots in the list. No shots set = default Plan + Iso pages.

Click Collaborator to generate a share link (Lite mode). Reviewers reseat and add annotations; their changes land in Review Changes as Accept / Reject per-change or Accept All — your plan is never overwritten. Works via upload of .spekthem-review files too.

PDF: cover + one page per shot (or default Plan + Iso) + Dimensions list (table shape / size / seats + stage W×D×H) + Inventory Summary (tables, linens, chairs, pipe & drape linear feet, staging sq ft, podiums) + Guest List banded per table. CSV: Table · Seat · Name · Group · Meal · VIP.

Save / Open .spekthem files to take your project anywhere. Auto-save keeps running in the background. ⌘Z / ⌘⇧Z for undo / redo; ⌘C / ⌘X / ⌘V to copy, cut, paste tables with all their settings; Delete to remove the selected element.
